Fundraising

In addition to donations, Touch Eldoret is funded by the activities of our hard working supporters. Primarily we collect unwanted clothing, shoes, handbags, books and bric-a-brac which is then sold at car boot sales and table top sales. We also have plants, free range eggs, natural skincare products and tatted jewellery for sale. More information on the last two items here. We collect scrap metal to be sold on. We also submit more valuable items for sale at auction and market collectable books via ebay. If you have any items you would like to donate, please get in touch. We usually have a good range of items waiting to be sold, if you’re looking for something particular, please ask if we have it.

We can always use extra help with sorting donations and manning stalls. If you have any other ideas for fundraising, or would like to run an event, we’d love to hear from you!

Volunteering in Kenya

From time to time we visit the people in Eldoret to provide them with practical help and much needed encouragement. This often includes running medical clinics, but could also involve physical help on the construction of the community centre or the provision of training. If you have suitable skills and experience and would like to volunteer in Eldoret, please contact us. Volunteers are expected to fund their own flights and expenses and will be required to complete a DBS check. Qualifications will be checked and references taken.
